Position: Event Coordinator

Location: Auckland

Relevant Course:
Certificate in Event Planning

This busy 4 1/2 Star Hotel's Conference department is seeking candidates who have experience in a similar position and who can demonstrate high levels of customer service. The successful applicant will:

  • Work well under pressure and to deadlines with the ability to multitask and prioritise
  • Demonstrate excellent English communication skills, written and oral 
  • Have an eye for detail 
  • Be a team player with integrity and be happy to work flexible hours - some weekend work will apply.

This position includes:

  • Managing enquiries and converting to contract by email, phone or in person
  • Detailing events and overseeing the operational outcome 
  • Building a good rapport with all customers and colleagues 
  • Efficient and effective filing system
  • Strong selling techniques and negotiation skills
  • Working with Fidelio and Phoenix (prior knowledge an advantage but not essential)
